    Our Commitment to Privacy

    Voice of Specially Abled People Inc., a California corporation (“Voice of SAP” or “Company”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) as may be referred to in other Company documentation, including but not limited to the Terms of Use).  

    This Privacy Policy to explain the type of information we may collect and to inform you of the specific practices and guidelines that protect the security and confidentiality of personal information. This Privacy Policy governs your usage of the Voice of SAP website (https://www.voiceofsap.org) and mobile application (Voice of SAP: VoSAP, collectively the “Platform”).

    This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect on the Platform:

    • when you browse the Platform, or 
    • when you submit a form to create an Account (as defined in the Terms of Use), or
    • in text messages, phone calls, emails and other electronic messages between you and the Company.

    It does not apply to information:

    • collected by the Company offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by the Company or any third party; or 
    • any third party, including through any application or content that may link to or be accessible from or on the Platform.

    By using the Platform, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by the Privacy Policy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will handle it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your remedy is to not access and use the Platform. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after we make changes to our Privacy Policy is deemed to be the acceptance of those changes, so please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates. 

    The Data We Collect And How We Collect It

    Our Platform provide convenient ways for you to access our services and learn about important Voice of SAP opportunities and events. We collect information about our online visitors directly from our visitors. We use this information to communicate with our supporters and clients and process their transactions. We do not sell any data we collect on the Platform to other organizations.

    When you use the Platform to make a financial contribution, take a pledge to volunteer, register for an event, enter a competition, join a program, sign up to volunteer, or apply for a job, we may ask you for your name, address, email, company name and phone number(s), so that we to can contact or identify you. We may also ask for other information relevant to the transaction, such as your preferences and interests to ensure your interest in Voice of SAP is genuine. We will ask for standard credit card information only when you make a donation. We do not store your credit card information.

    We collect information about your location when you use the Platform to take photo and rate places for accessibility or take pledge to volunteer. Such information comes from your devise when you allow us to receive it through the device settings you turn on, including access to your GPS location and other sensor data from your device, camera, or photos.

    We may from time to time collect non-personal information about our online visitors using “cookies”, pixels, web beacons, and other technologies that operate automatically when you visit our website. We use this information to give our website visitors a more relevant online experience and to help us make website improvements. The information helps us understand which parts of our websites are the most popular, where our online visitors are going, and how long they spend there. If you do not want us to collect information using cookies, you can disable this function in your browser. If you block cookies from us, however, you may not be able to see personalized content and our website may not function optimally.

    Information We Receive from Third Parties

     

    If you choose to connect your account on the Platform to your account on another service, we may receive information from the other service. For example, if you connect to Facebook or Google, we may receive information like your name, profile picture, age range, language, email address, and friend list. You may also choose to grant us access to your exercise or activity data from another service. You can stop sharing the information from the other service with us by removing our access to that other service.

     

    How We Securely Store Our Data

    We use a variety of security measures to protect your data. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of personally identifiable information.

    We protect the security of credit card transactions using a number of measures such as encryption, access controls, network firewalls, and physical security. These measures make it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept the credit card information you send to us. When we work with other companies to process credit card transactions, those companies also use encryption and other appropriate security measures.

    Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect our data, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to us via the Platform. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Platform.

     

    How We Use Your Information

    If you provide Voice of SAP with personal information when you visit our websites or use our mobile apps, we may use the information in our programs and activities. We may enter your information into one of our databases so we can contact you to obtain your input, provide information about our programs and events, request donations, or provide a more personalized online experience.

    Voice of SAP does not sell, trade, or share our users personally identifiable information with any other entity, except as described below. We do not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations unless the donor has given us specific permission to do so.

    On occasion, Voice of SAP may share your information with our vendors and other partners that help us with our activities and programs. For example, we share information with vendors that help us process donations and credit card payments. These vendors are bound by strict confidentiality rules and are permitted to use the information only to support Voice of SAP operations. We also disclose information as required by law.

    We may use information we collected on the Platform that has been de-identified and aggregated to better understand who uses the Voice of SAP Platform and how we can deliver a better experience, at our sole discretion.

    Minors

    The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 13, or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from any individuals under the age of 13. Additionally, no one under the age 18 may provide any personal information on the Platform without the permission of their parent or guardian. If you are a minor under the age of 18, you will need the permission of your parent or guardian prior to using the Platform or to provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any other information. If you become aware of any personal data we have collected from a minor, please contact us by sending us an email at privacy@voiceofsap.org. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a minor, we will take steps to delete the data without notice as soon as possible.

    Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

    We strive to provide you with choices regarding the information you provide to us. 

    Tracking Technologies and Advertising: You may set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. To learn how you can manage your Flash cookie settings, visit the Flash player settings page on Adobe’s website. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the website may then be inaccessible or not function properly. We also make available privacy settings in the App for you to adjust how we use and disclose your information.

    Links to Third Party Websites

    The Platform may contain links to third party websites and services (e.g. Stripe and Paypal for payment processing) and some of those third-party websites may be co-branded with our logo (“Third-Party Services”). These Third-Party Services are not our services. We do not control (and are not responsible for) third party content or privacy practices. Any personal information you provide to them is not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review carefully the legal and privacy policies of all other digital services that you visit.

    Changes to Your Information

    All users may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information in their user account in the account setting on the Platform or by contacting us by emailing privacy@voiceofsap.org. If you completely delete all of your information with us, then your user account will be deactivated. We may retain an archived copy of your records. 

    Data Retention and Account Termination

    You may close and delete your account in the account setting on the Platform. After the termination of your account, we may retain information about you for the purposes authorized under this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law. For example, we may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services or to comply with legal obligations. We may also maintain residual copies of your personal information in our backup systems.

    Changes to Our Privacy Policy

    It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the Site home page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we may notify you by email to the email address specified in your account or through a notice on website. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you to receive such notices.

    The Voice of SAP is committed to accuracy and precision in processing your information. We have procedures to check for errors, and our systems are periodically audited to make sure we process your information securely and accurately.
