Voice of the Specially Abled People (VOSAP)celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the Annual Event 2023 held virtually on December 3rd. The virtual event had over 1700  participants registered from 15+ countries. 

The event radiated warmth, inspiration, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities.

The Annual Event featured two distinguished speakers whose stories served as beacons of motivation for the attendees.


Dr. Deepa Malik, Padmashree, Khel Ratna,Paralympian, VOSAP Advisor inspired thousands of VOSAPians with her life story and asking questions What is Stopping you?” (Watch the video 22:15 – 47:15)

 

 
Dr.Karen Darke,MBE, Gold Medalist Paralympian, VOSAP Brand Ambassador, shared her adventorous journey, she firmly believes Never, Ever Give Up and emphasized to focus and “Live in the moment” (Watch the video 1:58:33 – 2:21:27) 

 

 

The Honorable Minister of State Welfare, Govt. of Goa, Shri Subhash Phaldesai ji highlighted VOSAP being an international Partner and invited VOSAPians to international Purple Fest in Goa. He shared, The work that VOSAP has undertaken is nothing short of inspiring, making a tangible and positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities at the global level.” (Watch the video 1:40:34 – 1:43:11)

 

VOSAP Co-founder Pranav Desai shared VOSAP’s initiatives and impact in 2023 and highlighted, “We are on the cusp of exponential growth with unwavering and growing support of our Donors to enable 100,000+ Specially Abled People” (Watch the video 53:12 – 1:02:25)

 

During the event,Shri  Manubhai Shah, Chairman, MSI Surfaces, shared, “We at Shah Family are filled with immense gratitude for the tireless efforts of the VOSAP team and unwavering dedication of its Founders”.

Shri Manubhai generously announced his commitment to the cause, the MSI Charitable Trust will provide a $:$ matching fund upto USD 500,000 and an additional support routing through GIVE.DO matching mechanism for VOSAP in 2024

VOSAP is dedicated to fostering collaboration and celebrating advancements in assistive technology.VOSAP believes that these innovators exemplify the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment, aligning with the VOSAP’s mission to advocate for the rights and well-being of specially-abled individuals globally. The innovators have demonstrated dedication to improving the lives of individuals with special needs through their groundbreaking technologies and solutions and so to celebrate their impact, VOSAP recognized, honored 5 Assistive Technology Innovators this year. VOSAP also launched 2 amazing products (Mobula by Oneceptual Technologies and CP Walker) this year during the annual event.

VOSAP is a community of amazing volunteers,Changemakers, VOSAPians and this year we recognized a few of them who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission, going above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of specially-abled individuals through their outstanding volunteering efforts.Their selfless dedication and tireless efforts have not only enhanced the reach of VOSAP’s programs but have also strengthened the bonds within communities, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment.

 

The event reached its pinnacle with a live performance by World-renowned specially-abled singing sensation, and VOSAP Youth Ambassador, Sparsh Shah, performed live, hosted the event and mesmerized everyone. His talent and resilience embody the spirit of breaking barriers and reaching new heights, setting the tone for a celebration of abilities over disabilities.

Sparsh further emphasized, “Over 100 Million Specially Abled People live in India and they need our help to get assistive device like what I have here in America” 

The Annual Event not only celebrated achievements but also underscored the importance of collective action in creating a more inclusive world. As VOSAP continues to grow and expand its impact, the event served as a powerful reminder that through collaboration, commitment, and compassion, a future can be built where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive.
