The Founder of Voice of Specially Abled People (VOSAP) recently visited Mathrushree Manovikasa Kendra in Bengaluru, an experience that left a profound impact on our journey of empowerment. This visit reinforced our collective resolve to accelerate Project HITARTH, a VOSAP initiative focused on supporting persons with intellectual disabilities and their families.

A Home with Dignity and Care

Founded in 2003, Mathrushree Manovikasa Kendra is more than just an institution, it is a home. Here, abandoned children with intellectual disabilities are nurtured with dignity, love, and compassion. The center provides high-quality care, education, and rehabilitation, enabling children to live meaningful lives while preparing them for independence and inclusion in society.

The visit was inspired by VOSAP’s Chief Patrons, Shri Manubhai and Rikaben Shah, who encouraged the Founder to witness first-hand the remarkable service being provided at Mathrushree during his 3-day stay in Bengaluru.

A Reminder of the Human Side of Our Mission

This heartfelt experience underscored the importance of addressing the human side of disability empowerment. Project HITARTH aims not only to provide structured support but also to strengthen organizations like Mathrushree, which play a critical role in nurturing dignity, growth, and self-reliance among persons with intellectual disabilities.

Inspiring Volunteers, Building the Future

The visit deeply moved VOSAP volunteers, who returned inspired and committed to continue supporting Mathrushree Manovikasa Kendra through volunteering and community engagement. It was a moment of reflection and reaffirmation of VOSAP’s long-term vision—building an Inclusive India by 2047.

At VOSAP, every partnership, every initiative, and every volunteer effort is a step toward ensuring that every Divyangjan has the opportunity to live with dignity and independence. Together, we are creating lasting impact. Together, we are working toward an Inclusive India.
