Over the past three years, Voice of Specially Abled People has been at the forefront of empowering Divyangjans in Basti, Uttar Pradesh. By providing assistive devices and self-employment kits, such as sewing machines, VOSAP has transformed the lives of hundreds of individuals, enabling them to achieve economic independence and live with dignity and pride.
On Saturday, January 11, VOSAP Founder Pranav Desai, along with the dedicated VOSAP team, visited Harraiya village in Basti to connect with beneficiaries, hear their inspiring stories, and explore new opportunities to further uplift the Divyangjan community.
The event was hosted by Shri Yogeshwar Sewa Sansthan (SYSS), a local NGO partner, whose founder, Shri Gopal Ji, played a pivotal role in ensuring the initiative’s success. SYSS has been instrumental in driving grassroots-level impact, ensuring that VOSAP’s resources and support reach those who need them most.
During the visit, the team witnessed the transformational impact of VOSAP’s initiatives. Beneficiaries shared how assistive devices and self-employment kits have empowered them to build sustainable livelihoods. From women starting home-based tailoring businesses with sewing machines to individuals gaining improved mobility and accessibility, these stories are a testament to VOSAP’s unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive society.
