The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), also known as Mumbai Airport, has opened its newest outlet, Mitti Cafe. The cafe is located in the arrival area of Terminal 2 and is run by 23 Specially-Abled employees.

The employees were selected through a rigorous recruitment process and underwent three months of specialized training. The workforce includes people with a variety of physical, intellectual, and psychological impairments, such as paralysis, autism, Down syndrome, and Asperger’s.

Mitti Cafe offers a wide range of hot and cold beverages, as well as sandwiches, pasta, and samosas. The cafe also has a number of features that are designed to make it accessible to people with disabilities. For example, customers can communicate with servers using small placards, a unique menu card printed in braille, sign language menus, and placards with basic directions.
