Schedule to RTE Act, 2009 stands amended with respect to Pupil Teacher Ratio for special teacher in general schools. Central Govt should also by law lay down norms for class IX to XII students with disabilities.

 

The Right to Education Act 2009 is an act that aims to provide free and compulsory education to all children between the age of 6 to 14 years in India under Article 21A of the Indian Constitution.

  • As per the RTE Act 2009, the pupil-teacher ratio is 30:1 means one teacher is employed for a total of 30 students in every primary school.
  • If the above 30 students are admitted then the pupil-teacher ratio will be 60:2. So three teachers will be employed for above 60 students.
