Bhubaneswar, October 12, 2025 – Voice of Specially Abled People (VOSAP) hosted a landmark Mass Enablement Event at Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar, empowering over 200 persons with disabilities through cutting-edge assistive technologies.
The event showcased the transformative potential of innovations such as AI-based Smart Glasses, Signable App, and Vision Wallets, designed to enhance independence, mobility, and confidence for Divyangjan. With these tools, beneficiaries are better equipped to pursue education, employment, and entrepreneurship—enabling them to contribute productively to society and the economy.

A special acknowledgment was extended to Shri Sanyas Kumar Behra, IAS, who despite being 100% blind, played an inspiring role in facilitating this initiative. His contribution, alongside Major Dr. Kalpana Das, Chair of CWDS, Bhubaneswar, highlighted the spirit of resilience and leadership within the disability community.
Vision for Odisha’s Inclusive Future
In his keynote address, Shri Pranav Desai emphasized VOSAP’s long-term commitment to Odisha, expressing a vision where sustained investments in assistive technology and accessibility will drive large-scale empowerment of Divyangjan. He shared VOSAP’s mission to align with India’s Vision 2047, ensuring that persons with disabilities are active contributors to the nation’s development.
Importantly, this initiative has laid the foundation for a proposed MoU with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, which aims to scale inclusive development and accessibility across the state.
