VOSAP Scholarship Program is an initiative to provide financial assistance for Specially abled Students of the USA. The goal is to assist them in creating a better future for themselves through Education and enabling and empowering them with knowledge. This scholarship provides college financial assistance to a graduating senior from High School who is pursuing a higher education at an accredited community college, state college, vocational college or university. Scholarship award is for tuition, books and education fees. The scholarship award is $3,000 to $7,000 per student. The recipient may continue to receive funds so long as he or she maintains a “B” average and carries full time academic load.

On approval by committee, you will receive a confirmation email from VOSAP. Please go through the Terms and Conditions for detailed scholarship related information.

Terms and Conditions:

  • High school graduating seniors planning to attend a college or university full time are eligible for applying for this scholarship.
  • The application form shall contain the correct details. If there is any misrepresentation of information or identity, the application will be rejected.
  • Attach all the documents requested for approval. Submitting all the documents is mandatory.
  • In cover letter, mention name and email id, your past qualification details, your reasons for eligibility and write an essay on “Your goals in Life and Your inspiration to achieve those goals”(1500 words max).Please keep in mind that the content of your essay will be a major factor in selecting the scholarship winners.
  • Complete the entire application. Incomplete applications will prevent you from scholarship consideration
  • Please note that filling the application form does not guarantee scholarship to the candidate. The application form that gets selected as per the criteria & eligibility and after the verification and scrutinization by VOSAP team, the candidate shall receive the scholarship.

Scholarship criteria:

  • Disability Certificate providing details of disability
  • Minimum 2.75 G.P.A.
  • Exhibit community and school involvement
  • Demonstrate financial need

The application packet should include:

  • Completed application form
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Transcripts
  • Essay
  • Copy of FAFSA – EFC (Estimated Family Contribution) page
  • Copies of awards and honor certificates
  • A statement from the applicant’s parents regarding financial need
  • Disability Certificate providing details of disability
  • Proof as US Resident (State ID, Driver license etc.)
  • Passport size photo
  • Admission letter from college or university
