VOSAP, as an organization, is dedicated not only to being the voice of specially-abled people but also to empowering them through actions. One of our action-oriented mission is to help people in need with surgical intervention.
Today we bring you the story of Mr. Vajirkhan, one of the beneficiaries of VOSAPâs Surgical Intervention Program.
Vajirkhan, a hard-working individual from Gujrat, was facing issues with his vision for a long time. But, he could not seek medical attention for himself as he was busy earning a livelihood for his family of eight. Needless to say, this ignorance worsened Vajirkhanâs eyesight with every passing day. And this was hampering his work efficiency as well.
When Vajirkhan was desperately in need of help, someone informed him about our Surgical Intervention Program. This 49-year-old man, who almost lost his vision due to financial constraints and other circumstantial issues, finally got in touch with one of our associate NGOs. We readily helped Vajirkhan to get surgical intervention for his corneal issues. He considers this aid a boon for himself and his family. He is thankful to the doctors and everybody who helped him in gaining back his vision.
This surgical treatment helped Vajirkhan to gain back his eyesight. But this is also a boon for his entire family who is dependent on him for their living. We feel blessed to be a significant part of this mission that is bringing positive changes to the life of beneficiaries like Vajirkhan and their families as well.
