On Dec 17, 2022, VOSAP enabled 106 Specially Abled Children at Lunawada, Mahisagar District with Hearing Aids and witnessed around 500+ happy faces of parents, special educators, beneficiaries, volunteers and invited guests.
The hearing device of VOSAP’s Partner and AT Exhibitor, WeHear is helping hearing impaired children to listen and then speak with training provided to them as how to use device. This early intervention with hearing device will help these 106 children get their hearing ability as per early audio gram test results done by government officers and WeHear team together. This eliminates need for costly surgical interventions.
The Collector of Mahisagar District, Shri Bhavin Pandya joined the event as Chief Guest. Various dignitaries such as DPEO Dr. Avniba Mori, Deputy Director (retired) of Education Shri Yashwant Patel also graced the event with their presence.
Hon. Collector Shri Bhavin Pandya appreciated the initiative undertaken by VOSAP and congratulated VOSAP Founder for taking this mission to the Mahisagar District. He also assured to work closely for Specially Abled People in next couple years in response to appeal from VOSAP founder.
He also expressed his keen interest in learning how the device works, tested it out himself and expressed that ‘The work done by Voice of SAP in changing lives is commendable. This devices does not require any surgery or implant and can be easily used by the person himself with training. I appreciate the work done by Voice of SAP to help thousands of children in Mahisagar and in Gujarat. I believe that with this device we may not hear in future that a child is hard of hearing’
Shri Pranav Desai, Founder of Voice of SAP joined the event virtually and addressed the guests and the beneficiaries, parents present at the event. He shared how VOSAP is looking at Collector Office to make sure that all the Specially Abled People in Mahisagar District has UDID card which would help them get benefits of various government schemes. He also shared his vision for an accessible and model Mahisagar district for Divyangjan under leadership of Ahri Bhavinbhai Pandya.
The event had participation of 56 Special Educators of Mahisagar District, VOSAP volunteers and team and WeHear team in person and VOSAP Volunteers and team from India and USA joined the event virtually.
The children and parents,special educators were also provided with training on how to use this customized device for each child effectively. VOSAP team and WeHear team would be following up from time to time with these beneficiaries and Parents to track the progress of these children.
