From Challenges to Triumph: Advocate Nandita Tripathi’s Inspiring Journey

In the heart of Nagpur, lives an extraordinary woman who turned her challenges into stepping stones for success — Advocate Nandita Tripathi.

Born with complete visual impairment, Nandita’s dream of becoming a lawyer was anything but easy. She was admitted to Nagpur Law College and completed her LLB, but the biggest question remained: How will I practice law without sight?

Doubts surrounded her, Who will give me cases? How will I read volumes of legal texts? How will I argue in court?

But destiny had something powerful in store. One day, Justice J. N. Patel encouraged her, saying, “Start taking cases and appear before me.” Gathering courage, Nandita stood before the court for the very first time. Reading her notes in Braille, she argued her case — and won. That moment became the turning point in her journey.

Technology: A Ray of Hope

Her path was not without struggles. In the beginning, with limited tools, she could barely manage 6–7 cases a month. But then came a life-changing support: assistive technologies like Kibo Reader, Smart Vision Glasses, and later, a smartphone with accessibility features.

With these tools, Nandita could finally “read” documents, understand case files, and prepare for arguments independently. Slowly, her practice grew. From handling just a few cases, she began working on 30–35 cases a month as an Assistant Government Leader.

Her earnings, once around ₹4.5 lakhs per year, rose to nearly ₹8.5 lakhs per year, not just symbolizing financial independence but also a victory of determination over doubt.

Beyond Barriers

With the help of Voice of Specially Abled People, she received assistive devices that empowered her — not just with technology, but with dignity and hope.

Today, she stands as a role model for thousands of visually impaired youth in India. Her story is proof that with the right support, determination, and accessible technology, disability is not inability.

A Message of Gratitude

“Earlier, I only had Braille and cassettes to rely on. But VOSAP gave me Kibo and Smart Vision Glasses — fulfilling my dreams. These technologies became a blessing in my life. Today, I can proudly say I am not just surviving, but thriving. Thank you, VOSAP.”
