VOSAP successfully organised an impactful empowerment event on 29th December 2025, at Gandhi Smarak Bhawan, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Chandigarh, and with the valuable support of Rotary Club Chandigarh Central. The initiative focused on empowering visually impaired students through assistive technology, where 37 students received AI-enabled Smart Glasses and 1 student was provided with the Orbit 20 device, opening new pathways to education, independence, and dignity. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Madhvi Kataria (IAS), State Commissioner for People with Disabilities, Chandigarh, who encouraged beneficiaries and their parents to ensure maximum and effective use of the assistive devices. She also assured continued support for expanding VOSAP’s HITARTH Project and accessibility initiatives in Chandigarh. VOSAP Founder Shri Pranav Desai addressed the gathering virtually from Los Angeles, sharing inspiring examples of how assistive technology, combined with training and community support, can transform lives. The event was coordinated by VOSAP Adviser Dr. Uttam Ojha, with VOSAP representatives Faiz and Divyansh managing registration, training, and distribution, followed by a dedicated hands-on training session conducted by device vendors to ensure effective usage of the devices.
