THE ACCIDENT
In May 2015, then a BSc second-year student, Krashanveer was travelling by train from Kanpur to Delhi when robbers snatched his money and pushed him off — he lost his leg in the fall. A stranger alerted his family, and he was rushed to Hallett Hospital, Kanpur.
REBUILDING, ONE STEP AT A TIME
Though financially stretched, the family arranged an early prosthetic leg, and within six months Krashanveer was back at work — first in marketing, then delivering for Domino’s for two to three years — despite a tight strap that chafed, trapped sweat, and needed constant readjusting.
VOSAP STEPS IN
Krashanveer found VOSAP through an Instagram post and travelled to Gurgaon to meet the team. Of the ₹40,000 prosthetic cost, VOSAP subsidy brought his share to ₹8,000, plus a year of free follow-ups — a lighter leg that moved naturally and stayed comfortable on foot or on a bike became accessible to him financially.
RIDING THROUGH THE NIGHT
Today, Krashanveer rides through the night as a Rapido bike partner in Delhi, leaving around 7 pm and returning by 7 am — the new leg holds up without breaks, and his income has grown from ₹15,000–16,000 a month to ₹25,000–30,000.
THE KEDARNATH CLIMB

“Don’t lose heart if you’ve lost a leg, or a hand, or if you’re facing any difficulty. If you decide in your mind that you want to do something, you can do it.”
— Krashanveer Singh, thanking VOSAP for the leg that got him back to his life.
