Orbit Reader: Bringing Light Back into Satyarth’s Life

Life can change in a moment. For little Satyarth, childhood was full of laughter, learning, and play—just like any other child. But fate had something different in store. A sudden illness, brain fever, slowly began to steal his world away.

First, his eyesight dimmed until he could see nothing at all. Despite every effort from his parents, the light in his eyes never returned. Then came another cruel blow—his hearing started to fade. Soon, he could only make sense of the world through very loud sounds. Darkness and silence surrounded him.

For his parents, it was heartbreaking. For Satyarth, it felt like his dreams had been snatched away.

But then came a turning point. Through Voice of SAP (VOSAP), Satyarth received an Orbit Reader 20, a Braille display device that opened a new world for him. With its help, he rediscovered reading, writing, and most importantly—his voice.

In Satyarth’s own words:

“My name is Satyarth. I cannot see, and I can hear very little. But today, I am reading, thinking, and living again. I am studying BA second year at Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow. Orbit Reader 20 became my friend, my book, and my voice. I make my own notes, study in Braille, and even talk to my parents on WhatsApp. Orbit has given me back my life.”

The impact touched not only Satyarth but also his family. His father shared with teary eyes:

“Orbit Reader has given me back my son. Now, when I want to tell him something, I type it, and he reads it through the device. When he wants to reply, he types, and I can understand. Earlier, darkness and silence had separated us—but today, technology has brought us back together.”

For Satyarth, Orbit Reader is not just a device—it is hope, independence, and dignity. It is proof that the right support at the right time can transform lives.

Satyarth’s journey is a reminder that even in the deepest silence and darkest nights, a ray of light can always find its way.
