Shana Kaushar from Ahmedabad is a Visually Impaired individual with 30% visibility. Her aspiration to become an IAS officer and her dedication to achieve her dream is commendable.
Her father is an auto driver and her mother is a housewife who cooks for catering service. She has 5 siblings, 3 of which are Visually Impaired and 1 has multiple disabilities.
Growing up in a small underpriviliged family and a locality where she has witnessed many women victim to domestic Violence, She is motivated to do something and change lives of people around her. She believes that with her determination, dedication and potential, she will clear her examinations, achieve her goals to be an IAS officer and help people.
She received Smartphone from VOSAP as part of Enablement Initiative. “Most of the preparation of my exam is done with the help of this device. I am able to learn from youtube videos, study materials and kits available online and preparation kits for competitive exams”
Shana is determined to work hard and focused to achieve her goal and not let her physical limitations stop her.
